Serralves Foundation Park and Garden

Ricardo Bravo

Park Management and Maintenance Advisor of the Serralves Park

Located in Porto, the Serralves Park extends over 18 hectares from the Serralves House and is made up of a wide variety of magnificent spaces, harmoniously interconnected, such as formal gardens, woods and a traditional farm. Designed in the 1930s by the architect Jacques Gréber, the park is a unique example of landscape heritage in Portugal.

One of its main characteristics is the diversity of the tree and shrub heritage, made up of native and exotic species, with around 8,000 specimens of woody plants, representing approximately 230 species and varieties.

A visit to the Park is a privileged opportunity to get in touch with nature and appreciate its richness. In addition, the Park and gardens function as a museum setting, where visitors can contemplate sculptures from Serralves Foundation Collection, on permanent display.
