Welcome Message

We are pleased to invite you to the 1st Porto Urban Greening Biennal!

On October 17th and 18th, 2024, at the Eng. António de Almeida Foundation in Porto, we will discuss the current and future challenges of Urban Green Infrastructure installation and management – a key strategy to address the climate emergency and foster environmental justice, social cohesion, and integration.
The theme of this first edition is Planting the Living City, and we are honored to have a renowned panel of invited speakers, including Joan Nassauer, Nigel Dunnet, Claudia West, Noel Kingsbury, Martí Franch, Paulo Farinha Marques, Duarte Mata, and María Sánchez-Blanco.

The program also includes the presentation of innovative and inspiring urban greening projects, workshops, and guided tours of Porto’s parks and gardens.

We designed this conference for you and hope you make the most of this event, which will represent an exceptional opportunity for knowledge exchange and promoting collaborations.

We look forward to seeing you all in Porto in October!
